DeWayne Julius Rogers began singing and playing piano in church in Los Angeles.

D.J. began working with composer/keyboardist/arranger and producer Jerry Peters.
He released ‘Let Your Life Shine’ which reached number 78 R&B in 1976.
The song featured on his 1976 ‘On the Road Again’ LP.

That year, D.J. duetted with Patrice Rushen on ’Givin' It up Is Givin' Up’ from her album ‘Pizzaazz’.
During the latter part of the Eighties, D.J. worked on Gospel material.
D.J. Rogers passed away in 2020. He was 72.
